Nino’s love for tennis began at Rosedale at age 12 and has evolved into a thriving career of more than 30 years.
He started coaching at just 16, helping with junior programs at Rosedale, and has been a fixture at the club ever since. Along the way, he’s also led programs at the Ontario Racquets Club and developed local initiatives at Dofasco Recreation Park and the Ancaster Tennis Club.
In 2005 , Nino turned his focus to high performance player development. Since then, he’s worked closely with Tennis Canada to sharpen his coaching skills, and from 2008 to 2013, during extended trips to Italy, he worked with the late Bob Brett at his world-renowned tennis centre. During that time, Nino also travelled internationally with junior players, gaining first-hand experience at top-level tournaments around the globe.
Nino combines strong technical knowledge with a mentor’s touch. He’s helped players earn university scholarships and guided some of Canada’s youngest competitors through the Progressive Tennis pathway. While his specialty is high performance development, he values working with athletes at every stage, from beginners finding their love of the game to competitors chasing international success.
Nino’s greatest passion is helping players grow both on the court and in life. He values the close-knit community at Rosedale and is excited to come full circle in his new role as Acting Head Pro. With two decades of dedication to athlete development, Nino has earned the respect and trust of players, parents, and colleagues across the tennis community.
